Live Action Is Still Cool

Okay, so digital is cool too, but one of the refreshing things about The Bourne movies (I watched Bourne Supremacy and I, Robot in the same weekend) is that the stunt scenes are "real"—well, you know, "real" in the sense that it's real guys being yanked back from real exploding houses on real cables. And really Matt Damon jumping over the bridge and really Matt Damon sitting in the car that is really being driven by a stunt driver. The point is, it isn't digitalized, and I think audiences can tell. Unsophisticated audiences like me, I mean, who wouldn't know a digital scene if it walked up and bit her. It's just that the aura is different. The chariot scene is Ben Hur is one of the best "real" stunt scenes of all time. It's kind of a long movie to sit through just to get to that, but it is certainly worth it.
